blue moon

…just having a bit of fun with the “Q” words that I picked for this week’s Peppermint Creek Collective Scavenger Hunt Game…..

my words: quaint, quality, quartz, queen, quest, questionable, quick, quiet, quill, quip, quirk, quiver, quote, quilt, blue moon

and here’s my story…can you find where the 15 words are located in the snippet?….

“blue moon”

waking at 3 am
she got up to write
lured by the quiet luminosity
of the silvery blue moon
her quartz crystals shimmered
with winks of moonlight
as her quill tip
and then she began
quilting quips and quotes
with quick strokes
and no regard for quality
it wasn’t about that

she just couldn’t resist
the adventure of the
empty page
and a playful romp with words
on her quest to explore
the whims and wishes
of her early morning muse

she knew she was a bit quirky
perhaps others would say
she was a bit
maybe even
somewhat questionable
but never

but what others thought
really didn’t matter
in the enchanted hour
all that was real
was the pen
the page
the play of words

under the luminous light
of the blue moon

  1. Jenny Kim says:

    Nice Game, it’s a word search in a poem. : )

  2. I love the way you write. Is there a way to follow your blog?

    • Thank you so very much Heather! When you open my blog in Google Chrome in the bottom right corner of the page there is a tag with a blue circle with a + sign that says “follow”, if you click on that it asks for your email address to send new blog posts.
