…this week the words came from the Peppermint Creek Collective’s Scavenger Hunt….

….here’s Patty’s lovely 15 chosen words: rich, European, history, beautiful, Colombian, emerald, British, music, group, female, African, artist, united, global, life…

……….and here’s the story that I wrote using her words………………

as an artist
she sought inspiration
in creations
that reminded her
of the truth of her

the calming heartbeat
of the African drum
created a stirring of
primal rhythms
an intuitive music
she felt so deeply
deep within

the shelter
of the dense canopy
of the emerald Columbian rain forests
that gave birth to so much life
created a feeling of an enormous richness
and a sense of peace in
that deeply sacred
female place

the splashing
in puddles and pools
of beautiful British rain
she felt uplifted
in a delightful
childlike delight
releasing her sorrows
cleansing her spirit
with a full fresh breath of
European air

sitting in silence
in the stillness of
an ordinary
she allowed herself to feel
the extraordinary
of her soul
and the communion
of a shared history
with humanity
united in a global group
a wholeness
a completeness
a oneness
within the ethereal light
of the spirit
of love
